Collaboration between university centers is key to innovation and progress in education, as evidenced by the different networks that make up La Salle Campus Barcelona, a founding member of the Universitat Ramon Llull: ENGAGE.EU, Aristos Campus Mundus, Strategic Alliance of Catholic Research Universities (SACRU) o International Association of La Salle Universities (IALU), among others. These national and international networks allow the sharing of knowledge, methodologies and training programs to enrich the student experience, research and knowledge transfer.
Under this premise, the La Salle Business Schools Alliance was born, a business school formed by IALU universities and which recently held its first meeting in Cuernavaca, Mexico, with the aim of taking the first steps of this ambitious project. This first meeting brought together more than 20 Lasallian institutions to lay the foundations for the creation of the Lasallian Network Business School, which involves more than half of the 66 higher education institutions that are part of the IALU network worldwide. Representing La Salle Campus Barcelona were Christopher Kennett, Dean of the La Salle International School of Commerce and Digital Economy (FICEDLS); and Víctor Alves, Senior International Relations Officer of La Salle-URL.
Based on this meeting, work will be done on the development of an educational model that not only trains the leaders of the present, but also consolidates the position of La Salle Campus Barcelona, and by extension the entire La Salle network in the world, as an international reference in the field of business schools.
In the words of Christopher Kennett, Dean of FICEDLS: “This project carries great expectations and we are confident that the collaboration between all the institutions will pave the way for a future of success and excellence, preparing our students for the great global challenges of the future.”
