HP graduates to the 6th Innotalent program promotion for young talents

The dual training program is aimed at recent graduates in higher engineering and scientific careers who join the R & D and Operations departments of HP. La Salle-URL has participated with 500 hours of practical training focused on innovation.

The International Center of HP in Barcelona (located in Sant Cugat del Vallès) has hosted this morning the graduation ceremony of the 68 students of the sixth promotion of Innotalent, the dual training program promoted by HP in collaboration with La Salle Campus Barcelona- URL and the technological center Leitat. Of the total graduates of this edition, HP has already confirmed the hiring of 12 of them, a figure that could double in the coming months. This is the last promotion of the program since, in 2017, it began to evolve into a new format called HP Academy.

The aim of Innotalent is to enhance the talent of young graduates in advanced engineering and scientific careers through innovation and dual training, establishing quality links between universities and companies and creating jobs with high added value. During its six-year program, Innotalent has trained highly qualified professionals capable of responding to the needs of an industrial model based on research and development and quickly joining the labor market.

The members of the program have collaborated for two years in international projects of the departments of R & D and Operations of HP, many of them associated with the 3D business, whose world headquarters is located in this center. This practical training has been complemented with more than 500 hours of academic training given by La Salle Campus Barcelona-URL, focused on innovation, industry applications as well as skills for project management. The collaboration of this university allows to validate the knowledge acquired as part of the 'Master in Project Management' of La Salle, a master's degree of recognized prestige that has the accreditation of the Global Accreditation Center (GAC) of the Project Management Institute (PMI). For its part, the technological center Leitat has been the main collaborator of the program, responsible for the promotion and selection of recent graduates and carrying out an individualized follow-up.

Ignacio Fonts, current CEO of Inveready Technology Investment Group and former General Director of the HP Center in Barcelona, has served as sponsor of the 6th Innotalent. The event was also attended by Ramon Pastor, Vice President of HP and General Director of the HP Barcelona Center; Josep M. Santos, General Director of La Salle Campus Barcelona; and Jordi William-Carnes, President of Leitat.
