The A-Place project "Linking places through networked artistic practices", co-funded by the Creative Europe programme (2019-23), addresses the theme of identity and sense of place through a multidisciplinary and participatory approach. Architects and artists, teachers and students from different educational levels and cultural agents collaborate in creative and educational activities aimed at strengthening the links between people and the places they inhabit. These activities, which take place in six European cities and on digital platforms, aim to promote the exchange of experiences between people and the spaces they inhabit, overcoming cultural and disciplinary, territorial and geographical barriers.
RE-DWELL "Delivering affordable and sustainable housing in Europe" is a project funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie programme of the European Union (MSCA-ITN 2020-24). The aim of the project is to create a transdisciplinary and collaborative research and learning structure to train professionals who can provide innovative solutions to the housing problem, taking into account its multiple dimensions (architectural, urban, social, political and economic) and scales (housing, building, neighbourhood, city, territory), in collaboration with the various actors involved, experts and non-experts.
Both projects propose, from different perspectives, the need to rethink contemporary lived space as a realm that transcends predetermined spatial and disciplinary limits.
At the end of the presentation, there will be a guided visit to the exhibitions of the two projects installed in the IoTiCAT.
