The module aims to provide students with specialised knowledge by offering a range of seminars on topics of interest in the field of multimedia. It is undoubtedly an excellent addition to the curriculum. The module also prepares students to undertake work placements within the educational institution, ensuring they have a solid foundation.
L'assignatura pot prendre diferentes formes depenent de quin sigui el camp d'intensificació i per tant tan sols es fa necessària una formació genèrica bàsica en totes les arees que fan del graduat i graduada en enginyeria multimèdia un perfil multidisciplinar i integrador d'àrees.
The main objective is to achieve a high level of specialisation in one of the areas covered during the degree programme. Other objectives are set out below:
1. Basic general knowledge of the field of study.
2. The ability to apply knowledge in practice.
3. The ability to generate new ideas (creativity).
4. Research skills.

There are various methods:
1. Face-to-face and online forum discussions:
The module is supported via the institution’s virtual campus, and it is therefore possible to set up discussion forums where questions and answers relating to the seminar topic can be posted. This is an ideal means of communication, alongside email, for students working from home.
2. Seminars:
On topics closely related to research and collaborative work. Attendance at seminars is usually optional. The institution also offers highly specialised training courses, in this case more focused on tools used in the business world.
