On December 19, La Salle Campus Barcelona will host the Deep Learning Barcelona Symposium (DLBCN) for the first time, an annual conference in which prestigious researchers and universities participate and which aims to showcase research on deep learning carried out by scientists from and/or in Barcelona. That is, scientists who currently work in Barcelona or who have done part of their studies or career in Barcelona.

This unique meeting brings together researchers from several disciplines who work in the field of deep learning and shows the potential of Barcelona as an AI center in the Mediterranean.

In this edition, among the speakers are prominent researchers such as Noelia Ferruz, research group leader at the Center for Genomic Regulation; José Manuel Álvarez, Telecommunications Engineer from La Salle-URL and Director of Research at NVIDIA; Fernando de la Torre, PhD in Electronic Engineering from La Salle-URL and Director of the Human Sensing Laboratory (HSL); Marco Baroni, ICREA Research Professor at the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF); and Míriam Bellver, Senior Applied Scientist at Amazon, among other researchers and experts.

The conferences and presentations will begin at 9:00 am and end at 7:00 pm with the closing ceremony.
