The CZFB and La Salle-URL sign a collaboration agreement within the framework of the Corporate Board Council

The Corporate Board Council of La Salle-URL promotes strategic interaction between the university and leading companies, institutions and foundations to develop entrepreneurship and economic-social cooperation for the benefit of the entire social fabric

The Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB) has signed an agreement to be part of the Corporate Board Council - CBC of La Salle Campus Barcelona. In this way, the Zona Franca of Barcelona participates as a dynamic agent of the economy and industry 4.0, collaborating in the activities of the CBC of La Salle-URL, whose purpose is to promote and formalize the establishment of relations between the university and companies, institutions and foundations to connect at different levels and work together in the development of projects for the benefit of society.

The event was attended by the General Director of the CZFB, Blanca Sorigué, and the General Director of La Salle-URL, Josep M. Santos, in charge of materializing the agreement. Likewise, other academic and institutional representatives of La Salle Campus Barcelona have also been present, who have been able to get to know and enjoy first-hand some of the different projects that are being developed within the DFactory Barcelona.

La Salle Campus Barcelona, ​​a founding member of the Ramon Llull University, is a university center whose mission is to train professionals with values ​​capable of transforming society, and which has technology and humanism as key elements of its DNA. To deepen the active collaboration between large companies and its university ecosystem, the CBC of La Salle-URL has been set up together with around fifteen top-level companies, institutions and foundations, including the CZFB. This initiative brings together business, entrepreneurship and academia for the benefit of Barcelona and its area of ​​influence, at a time when digital knowledge is driving the renewal of the territory.

The Consorci is a public company that is financed entirely from its own funds, such as the industrial leases of the Barcelona Zona Franca and its assets management. Despite the fact that its main field of activity is the industrial estate and its customs free zone, it also promotes buildings, urban and industrial land, acts as a catalyst for business transformation towards the 4.0 economy and organizes events of economic interest for Barcelona as the largest logistics event in Spain and southern Europe, the SIL. In its plenary it has representatives of the Spanish government, the Generalitat of Catalonia, the Barcelona City Council, and the main economic entities of the city.
