Description
The course deepens technical and critical knowledge related to the intervention in existing buildings. It focuses on architectural rehabilitation and restoration from an applied perspective, with particular emphasis on direct site visits and real-time monitoring of works in progress.
Site visits enable students to observe in situ techniques for structural consolidation, repair, restoration, and functional adaptation, as well as to understand the material, regulatory, and logistical conditions that shape design decisions. The dialogue between theory and practice is emphasized, along with the ability to interpret the constructive behavior of the pre-existing building.
