In the last meeting of the FUNITEC Board, which took place in mid-February, various points of interest were discussed regarding the state and current affairs of the Campus.
- The adhesion of La Salle Campus Barcelona-URL to the Laudatio Si, a Vatican project that pursues an ecological and sustainable future, was announced. The initiative has a purpose similar to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and consists of seven points: Response to the Cry of the Earth, Response to the Cry of the Poor, Ecological Economics, Adoption of Sustainable Lifestyles, Ecological Education, Ecological Spirituality and Community Engagement and Participatory Action.
- Finally, the Board of FUNITEC talked about the celebration on Campus of the next Encuentro of the International Association of Lasallian Universities (IALU), which brings together 65 universities around the world. It will be the XIII edition of the event held every three years by the IALU to visualize the future of their educational works and shared mission. The Rectors, Research Directors and Head of internationalization of the universities, which have more than 300.000 students, will participate. The meeting will take place between November 7 and 12, 2022 under the slogan Transforming the future together. The La Salle-URL Campus will host the activities of the last three days, between 10 and 12, and UniLaSalle Beauvais (France) will host the first three days.
