Blank Canvas, the short film directed by a student of the Degree of Animation & VFX of La Salle-URL, nominated for the Quirino Awards

Blank Canvas, a short film of virtual reality directed and produced by Sergi Albert (Albert Sherman), student of the Degree Animation & VFX of La Salle Campus Barcelona-URL, has been nominated for Best Ibero-American Animation of Animation at the Quirino Awards to be held the next 6 and 7 of April in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Albert has directed this short film that introduces the viewer into an enlightened world, inspired by the novel of 'The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland', made in a 360º format and with 3D animation. In addition, the director of the short film has taken advantage of the knowledge acquired in the subject of Post-production of the Animation Degree of La Salle-URL to make the trailer.

Blank Canvas also won the first prize in the category of Virtual Reality of the Global Film Fest in Los Angeles, last November, 2017. It was also presented at the 22nd edition of Animac, the International Animation Film Festival of Catalonia, as the only local work of Virtual Reality exhibited in the Open Screen VR area of ​​the festival, along with the best short films from Google Spotlight Stories.
