From the campus classrooms to the big screen. Students from the Bachelor in Animation and VFX at La Salle - Universitat Ramon Llull have presented their projects at Animation Talents 2026, an event showcasing the work developed throughout the degree to classmates, families, faculty, industry professionals and other members of the campus community.
This year’s edition was held at the Phenomena Experience cinema in Barcelona and was structured in two screenings. The first was aimed at family members and third-year students, who had the opportunity to screen the projects they are currently developing. The second brought together fourth-year students, faculty, professionals from the animation industry and other members of the university community.
This year’s edition featured six projects by the Class of 2026:
- Stigma
- Nemesis
- Sounds like home
- O’Paraiso
- Sprouts
- Here be dragons
The event also featured screenings of several outstanding short films from previous cohorts, which are currently continuing their journey through Brooder Lab, the incubator for emerging content and talent created on campus. These include Baile con la muerte, shortlisted for the 2026 Goya Awards, DAVI and Ramen for two, which have received several awards and recognitions at leading film and animation festivals around the world.
The event concluded with a networking session between fourth-year students and industry professionals, providing an opportunity to share experiences, learn about different professional profiles and gain a closer insight into the reality of the animation and audiovisual industries.
Overall, Animation Talents has established itself as a showcase for the work students develop throughout the degree and a meeting point between university learning and professional practice. Throughout the degree’s more than ten-year history, final projects have enabled students to put their knowledge into practice, work as a team and prepare to take on the creative and technical challenges of the animation industry.
