Agreement between La Fundación Caixa d’Enginyers and La Salle Campus Barcelona-URL

The one-year agreement will allow to continue the program that La Salle-URL launched in 2014, and that will reach in 2017 its 4th edition.

The program, Talent and New Technologies – Caixa d’Enginyers Foundation, allows high school students to get in touch with technological advances in the ICT (information and communications technology), and helps them see first-hand how it is the work done by an engineer in sectors like Mobile Application development, Robotics and Cybersecurity and Internet technologies; areas of activity with expected great development in the coming years and with a deficit of professionals across Europe.

The course is aimed at high school students having special interest and talent in the world of new technologies, particularly ICT. A total of 6 sessions taking place on Saturdays at La Salle Campus Barcelona, 2 sessions for each of the themes, but with new technologies as a common thread. One of the expected results of this course is to increase vocation, motivation and innovative technology among young students, which responds to the current need for engineers in ICT, and to wake up the entrepreneurial spirit of these students.
