Goals
Once you have completed this degree, you will be prepared to be part of a new generation of engineers trained to innovate in the medical and health sector. You will have been trained in depth to:
- Apply your knowledge in engineering to solve real problems with high social impact, finding innovative technological solutions in problems in the field of health.
- Use data science and bioinformatics techniques to effectively treat, visualize and interpret massive data, applying the most appropriate artificial intelligence and machine learning tools.
- Design and implement hardware devices and sensors for the acquisition, transmission, processing and analysis of biomedical signals, images and data (physiological, clinical and omics) for the prevention and diagnosis of diseases.
- Know the fundamental characteristics of public and private health systems, which will allow you to understand how technology is integrated into the healthcare circuit.
- Develop creative and innovative processes, learning techniques and strategies to have and implement ideas that add value to the economy and society to have a vision and way of doing that is sustainable and ethical, assuming the responsibility to improve our society.
