Ramon Llull University appears as the second best private university in Spain

The Ramon Llull University (URL), of which La Salle-URL is one of its founding members, appears for the third consecutive year among the best Spanish and world universities according to the World University Rankings of the magazine Times Higher Education (THE), also known as THE ranking, one of the most prestigious in the university sector. This year, THE World University Rankings places URL in 10th position in Spain and 2nd among private universities, 6th in the Catalan university system and in the 601-800 range in the world.

The URL stands out especially in the field of citations in scientific publications, in which it has achieved 73.1 points. Likewise, in the international dimension it ranks 3rd in Spain, standing out in the following indicators: international collaborations with 71.1 points; percentage of foreign students, obtaining a total of 83.8 points; and percentage of international teachers, with 62.9 points.

The ranking is prepared from 13 indicators that measure the performance of higher education institutions from five areas weighted with the following percentages: teaching (29.5%), research (29%), research quality (30%), international projection (7.5%) and industry (4%). To score all these indicators, the ranking evaluates data from three sources of information: data from universities; bibliometric data from Elsevier; and surveys conducted with academics around the world.

In this year's edition of the THE ranking, 1,904 universities from 108 countries around the world have been evaluated. More than 68,000 academics have responded to the surveys and more than 130 million bibliographic citations and 16.5 million publications have been analyzed.
