Social Hackaton at La Salle-URL

La Salle Campus Barcelona, together with La Salle Technova Barcelona, is organising a SOCIAL HACKATHON on 6th and 7th July with the collaboration of Ship2B and the Pere Tarrés Foundation.
Students of EMBA, UX and UI programming and social entrepreneurship, and professional programmers, developers, UX and UI experts, engineers, entrepreneurs and analysts, will form interdisciplinary work teams to respond through technology and digitization to two social challenges proposed by the participating entities.

These challenges address issues of disabled vocations and integration. ARTISTEM is a project that aims to bring together and awaken interest in the scientific and technological professions through artistic experiences. The objective to work on is the redesign of the project to improve it, position it and give it a global sense to face the present and future challenges. The other project, CAPACIS, aims to achieve maximum dissemination of the "Limited Edition" campaign. This non-profit organization was created to respond to a social demand, to train young people with intellectual disabilities with limited intelligence in order to insert them into ordinary companies.

The Product Manager DayOne Caixabank, Vanesa Palmer, and the director of the Executive MBA Digital Leaders of La Salle-URL, Lluís Font, will be in charge of the event, which will be held on the first day from 4pm to 10pm and on the second from 9am to 9pm.

Through this hackathon, young students will have the opportunity to improve and boost their CVs and meet companies and organising mentors from another point of view and start creating their own networking network, as well as contributing their full potential to the improvement of society.
