María Langarita (1970) has a PhD in Architecture by the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), has a degree in Architecture by University of Navarra (ETSAUN) and is associate professor of project at the School of Architecture of Madrid (ETSAM).
Since 2005 he founded together with Víctor Navarro the architecture office Langarita Navarro, based in Madrid, where they design, and direct work teams driven by innovation and imagination. They are, among other Works, of the headquarters for Medialab-Prado and the Red Bull Music Academy in Matadero Madrid both in Madrid. His work has received several international awards, such as the Special Mention to the emerging architect of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture - Mies van der Rohe Award (2013) for the Red Bull Music Academy project, and the ar + d Award for Emerging Architecture (2012) or the FAD Architecture Prize (2012).
