Teaching activity
Faculty member at La Salle–URL since 1996, teaching signal processing, audio processing, digital communications, music production, and courses related to telecommunication systems, audiovisual engineering and multimedia. Since 2020 he has been Coordinator of the Master’s Degree in Telecommunication Engineering.

Research and knowledge transfer
He has been part of research groups funded by the Catalan Government: Multimodal Processing (2005SGR00806), Media Technologies (2009SGR293, 2014SGR590, 2017SGR966) and currently the Human¿Environment Research Group (2021SGR01396), working on signal, audio and speech processing.
Author or co¿author of more than 120 scientific publications, and participant in more than 30 R&D projects: 5 European projects on machine¿hearing, human¿machine interaction, and HF digital communications; 11 national projects on expressive speech analysis, affective speech, speech biomarkers, and multimodal interfaces, along with projects in acoustic characterization.
His current research focuses on speech biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of rare diseases such as Turner syndrome, and on developing ultrasound¿based technology for waste recycling.

Professional activity
He has supervised 8 PhD theses in speech processing, multimodal data clustering and digital communications over HF links.

Recognitions
Recipient of the Rosina Ribalta Award from the Epson Foundation (1999/2000) for the best doctoral thesis in ICT.
