Emiliano Justo Labrador Ruiz de la Hermosa

Mr. Emiliano Labrador received the B.Sc. degree in Multimedia by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), and the M.Sc.degree in Creation and Multimedia Engineering by La Salle School of Engineering from Universitat Ramon Llull (URL). He is currently the Director of the Master in Multimedia Creation and Serious Games (MCDEM) at La Salle-URL and member of the GTM. His main research interest are the application of game mechanics to enhance the user experience in various fields, with special focus on education. His work as a media artist has led him to exhibit work at festivals like ArtFutura (where he has a Sony PlayStation award for videogame design), Sonar, Ciber@art,and the Cybercultures meeting in Mexico City, among others. He collaborates with the Entertainment Technology Center at Carnegie Mellon University (US) as faculty advisor collaborating in gamification and serious games projects with companies such as Telefónica, Roland, Infojobs, Digital Legends, HP, Saint Jude Hospital, and others. He has published several articles and book chapters, as well as spoken and organized industry conferences. He is charge of the organization of gEducation Workshop (How Gamification is changing the future of Education) that will be hold within the Gamification World Congress (GWC 2014).
