I am an Electronics Engineer from the National University of San Marcos de Lima (1994). He obtained a Master´s Degree in Electrical Engineering (2002) and a PhD in Telecommunications (2007), both awarded by the University of Brasilia (UnB), Brasilia DF-Brazil.
In 2007 I joined the Optical Communications Group (GCO) of the Department of Signal Theory and Communications of the UPC, directed by Dr. Josep Prat, as a Researcher, where I obtained my second doctorate (2013) in the area of Optical Communications with Cum Laude award and mention as European Doctor.
As a researcher, I have participated in the European projects SARDANA and EURO-FOS, the international technology transfer project ``Scaling´´ and the National Project TEC2008-01887 247445 ´´ TEYDE. I have published research articles in high-impact journals and presented papers at congresses in the area, as well as research states at France Telecom (France) and Tellabs-Oy (Finland).
I am currently a Researcher of the Optical Communications Group (GCO) of the UPC. My research focuses on optical access networks, specifically on metro/access udWDM-PONs, at the PHY and MAC level. In addition, I am an associate professor at the FIB-UPC, and a professor at the Ramon Llull - La Salle University.
