La Salle-URL consolidates its collaboration with Latin American universities and its presence in the region

Representatives of La Salle-URL have traveled to Latin America to strengthen the presence of the campus in the region and consolidate relationships with partner universities in Colombia, Peru, Chile and Brazil. The trip is part of the campus' strategy to reinforce its character as an international university center, which trains students with global skills capable of succeeding in any cultural and professional environment.

La Salle-URL promotes international mobility, exchanges, stays and study trips as an essential part of university education. Currently, the campus has nearly 200 partner universities around the world, many of them in Latin America, a region with which it has many historical ties and from which nearly 900 of the current La Salle-URL students come. The visit served to consolidate—and further expand—the network of universities associated with the region, with which initiatives and projects of all kinds are promoted. The campus representatives were received by directors from various universities to reflect on university education in the world, establish new collaboration agreements and strengthen existing relationships and initiatives.

  • Universidad EAFIT (Colombia): Representatives of both institutions met in Medellín, the main headquarters of this Colombian university, to get to know the campus and explore initiatives of mutual interest.
  • Universidad ESAN (Perú): The twentieth anniversary of the collaboration between La Salle-URL and ESAN was commemorated in Lima, a celebration in which graduates from programs linked to the campus participated. During these twenty years, nearly 2,000 students have completed double degree programs between both universities in project management, cybersecurity and MBA, among others, as well as international internships in Barcelona.
  • Universidad del Desarrollo (Xile): Representatives of the Universidad del Desarrollo (UDD) showed their facilities. The meeting served to discuss current agreements and explore new forms of collaboration. In addition, a 'Chapter Alumni' with alumni of La Salle-URL also took place in Santiago de Chile, in which they remembered their time on campus and discussed future avenues for cooperation.
  • Universidade de Sao Paulo (Brasil): Some of the university's top representatives received La Salle-URL to assess the possibility of reaching a collaboration agreement in all areas of knowledge.
  • Univali (Brasil): The Itajaí and Florianópolis campuses were visited and various avenues for future cooperation were explored.
  • Pontifícia Universidade Católica (PUC) do Rio de Janeiro (Brasil): A meeting was held within the framework of the existing collaboration agreement, reviewing the possibility of starting new joint projects.
