La Salle Breakfast - Internet of Things: A reality that has come to stay

Tuesday, May 29 at 9:30 will take place the 86th edition of La Salle Breakfast in the Sala de Graus of La Salle Campus Barcelona.

In this session of La Salle Breakfast we will analyze the Internet of Things (IoT) sector. The concept of the digital interconnection of everyday objects with the Internet is here to stay. More and more companies are applying this type of methods and using connected devices in all areas of our day to day.

With the help of Idntt, a company specialized in the ideation, prototyping and agile development of digital solutions with a strong innovative component, we will analyze how the IoT is increasingly present in our society. The mission of this company is to ensure that medium and large companies have the agility of digital disruptors when innovating and adapting to new digital environments.

With Pere Barnola, CEO of Idntt, we will review three case studies of his current portfolio that are a clear example of how connected devices are being incorporated little by little in almost every area of our day to day. This integration in a large number of areas is contributing, both to companies and users, not only a new way of relating to technology, but also a disruptive value thanks to the high value added functionalities that it puts at their disposal.

The first case will be Viuho, a local startup for which a solution is being developed that will allow communication via satellite to manage emergencies and risk situations in environments without an internet connection.

The second case will be "Measurement box", a sensorized box specially designed for retail environment. Its objective is the analysis of the flows and the response to the offer of users within this environment.

To close the session, we will discuss the case of Pepper, a protocol robot with great possibilities in terms of engagement, access to information and usage statistics in various environments such as retail, corporate and health, among others.
