The meeting had 19 experts from 15 different countries who discussed issues related to the future of the organization. The implementation of the IASP 2020 strategy, based on knowledge, mobility, links with businesses, global institutions and new models, was the main axis of the board of directors. The board also analyzed the activity plan of each of the seven regional divisions, in this way, IASP improves its unique global nature making it the only global organization in the scientific park industry. "The challenge for a global network like ours is to provide value for each member located in so many different regions of the world, and that operates at different levels of maturity," said IASP president Josep Maria Piqué.
Each year, IASP holds a world conference in which all the members of the organization meet in a country chosen by the participants themselves. This year the meeting will be held in the Iranian city of Isfahan.
