The Aristos Campus Mundus Social Responsibility Awards recognize students and teachers from La Salle Barcelona – Universitat Ramon Llull

The eleventh edition of the ACM Social Responsibility Awards granted by Aristos Campus Mundus has recognized the work carried out by teachers and students from La Salle Barcelona – Universitat Ramon Llull during the 22-23 academic year.

Mari Romero, professor of Engineering degrees at La Salle Barcelona – Universitat Ramon Llull, has been awarded the first prize for postgraduate work in 'Good practices in university cooperation for development' for her work 'Proposal for a training program for active teachers'. Romero developed a project for a blended training program open to teachers where the Urubamba Project operates and that trains teachers in topics such as educational innovation, the introduction of new technologies in education or digital methods to get started in educational research.

On the other hand, the first prize 'Good practices in university social commitment' has been awarded to the teachers and researchers of the Degree in Digital Arts Jorge Egea, Marta Comas and Joel Dalmau for their work 'Katharsis: of myths, heroes and heroines'. Finally, in the postgraduate works category of the 'Ignacio Ellacuría social interest studies' award, the student María Casals, a student of the Masters in Telecommunications Engineering, has obtained the second prize ex aequo for her work 'Biomarkers identification in breast cancer using principal component analysis on metabolomic data'.

ACM Social Responsibility Awards

The ACM Social Responsibility Awards are organized by Aristos Campus Mundus, the campus of international excellence formed by Universidad de Deusto, Universidad Pontificia Comillas and Universitat Ramon Llull. Three categories are considered: the Good Practices in University Cooperation Award, the Ignacio Ellacuría Award for Social Interest Studies ACM and the Good Practices Award for University Social Commitment ACM.

These awards are part of the international excellence campus project Aristos Campus Mundus (ACM), in which the universities of Deusto, Comillas ICAI-ICADE and Ramon Llull materialize their commitment to advance towards quality and excellence in teaching and research activities, as well as sharing experiences and the processes they develop together.
