The amount of information that circulates on the web is enormous, as everything is now computerised: personal data, banking operations, reports, and medical records, to give just some examples. According to the risk barometer that Allianz puts together every year, cyber attacks are among the biggest fears of companies globally.

Against this background, cybersecurity has become one of the key professions of the future. According to the latest report from the international Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC), there will be a shortfall of 350,000 specialists in Europe by 2022, and a worldwide shortage of 1.8 million vacancies in 2022.

The Master's Degree in Cybersecurity at La Salle-URL (MCS) aims to help fulfil this business need and trains experts specialised in ICT security, incorporating the key skills in both defensive and offensive cybersecurity with a focus on such indispensable aspects as reverse engineering, cyberintelligence and forensic analysis, among others.

JAUME ABELLA, coordinator of the Master in Cybersecurity at La Salle-URL, has been awarded as a member of the Top 25 of Cybersecurity Influencers by CSO Spain.

In this edition, 25 professionals from different sectors have been recognized whose disclosure work makes them worthy of the recognition of professionals, and users in general.

The Master in Cybersecurity has obtained the n.44 inBusiness Intelligence, Worldwide, in the Eduniversal Best Masters Ranking worldwide in its ninth edition (2021).

"I chose this master's degree, because it allows you to have a vision of all the areas covered by cybersecurity, as well as becoming a great expert in each one of them and, therefore, at a professional level it offers you a wide range of possibilities. One once completed, I can affirm that it is a very complete master where you work with completely real, current scenarios and with the help of great professionals in the sector."
