Research and Knowledge Transfer
Researcher in Computer Vision at the Human-Environment Research (HER) Group; her work integrates biomechanical analysis of human movement through optical capture and computer vision with the use of 3D modeling and machine learning to identify non-invasive biomarkers for rare diseases, with a special emphasis on gait analysis. Complementarily, she pursues a line of research in academic analytics and educational data mining, where she has identified and modeled the main variables influencing early university dropout (Heliyon), integrating academic and psychological factors such as self-regulation and math anxiety, and applying these findings to improve educational processes, tutoring, and interventions in real university settings.
