August Climent Ferrer

August Climent holds a PhD in Computer Engineering from the Ramon Llull University.
He is a tenured professor at La Salle Campus Barcelona - Ramon Llull University and he is a member of the Smart Society Research Group. He has developed his professional career as a teacher of Computer Architecture and Software Engineering areas. He has participated in multiple competitive research and technology transfer projects with a scientific output of 8 books, 13 journal articles and more than 50 conference presentations. He has been department director and academic coordinator of computer science studies, director of the Distributed Systems research group and member of the GRETEL research group. He is member of two professional associations in the field of engineering and distributed systems and participates in 6 scientific committees. During his academic activity he has directed 6 PhD. And more than 200 Undergraduate and Graduate projects in the field of ICT engineering.
His main research areas are databases, distributed systems, computer architecture, business intelligence, knowledge management, technology and education.
He is an honorary member of the " Consejo Superior Europeo de Doctores Honoris Causa " and received the distinction of the " Real Academia Europea de Doctores RAED ".
