Syllabus

BLOCK 1

Home Automation

KNX standard (8 ECTS)

In this subject the student will be trained to program in the KNX standard, it is the largest home automation system implemented worldwide. You will be eligible for the certificate issued by Brussels KNX Partner.

Control systems (7 ECTS)

In this course other home automation systems that exist in home automation facilities will be addressed, training in standard systems such as LonWorks, ModBus, Dali, RF. Proprietary systems such as Deltadore will also be studied.

Home Automation Projects (10 ECTS)

This course will explain how to carry out an executive home automation project, what documents it must contain, and an introduction to the different facilities that we will control: lighting, climate, ventilation, telecommunications, electrical.

In this course, the BMS (building control system) of a Hotel installation will also be carried out, explaining how to do a better energy management, user control, alarm management, communication with voice systems such as Siri, Alexa, or as Deltadore or Somfy.

With the Home Automation module, you can obtain the Diploma of Specialization in Home Automation. If taken individually, the Postgraduate Course ends with a thesis project (5 ECTS credits).
