The University Expert in Big Data Analytics and Data Visualization will provide you with a necessary analysis to make critical decisions based on data, using new techniques born from Data Science and Artificial Intelligence that are currently applied in business management. During the course we will give you access to algorithms already designed that you can apply in the day to day of your job, through the necessary adaptations.
In addition, you will learn how you could access to data sources with more dimensionality (geolocation, feeling, proximity, intermediation) and you will learn different methods to analyze this data, such as Machine Learning, Clusterization or the main components method. Practice will be carried out through specific cases of Social Selling, Social R&D or Social Innovation and you will learn to use tools such as Python, R, BigML and QGIS.
In Big Data, the amount of data that is produced, captured and processed is exponentially increasing and it becomes difficult for us to assimilate such a volume. Numbers by themselves make no sense if we are not able to visualize and contextualize them. During the program you will clearly understand that the most common difficulty is not the capture and storage of the data, but the analysis and its subsequent visual and aesthetic representation for decision making.
Data visualization is an interdisciplinary practice that combines the competencies of graphic design, statistics, visual interface and narrative. It has become a key point to analyze and communicate data, impacting the decisions of companies.
At the end of the program in Big Data Analytics and Data Visualization, you will have practiced the Artificial Intelligence Canvas and you will have learned techniques to turn your own company into a data science company, driving it towards a new way of making decisions and acquiring the bases that allow to visualize, explore and graphically explain the data in an effective way.
The University Expert is a degree of 15 ECTS from the Ramon Llull University (URL), equivalent to a postgraduate program.
