Syllabus
Automation AND INDUSTRIAL ROBOTICS

Hardware Systems (5 ECTS)

This course is made up of several blocks that allow students to acquire knowledge in the basic areas of automation: a brief review of pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanics, electrical panels in industry, frequency converters.

Programmable Logic Controllers - PCLs (10 ECTS)

Basic concepts of a PLC, inputs and outputs, wiring and connection. Security. Communications and different types of buses.

The course has an important practical part in which the PLCs of the industrial models of the laboratory, the FMS-200 and the IPC-201, will be programmed. These models allow working with real systems in the industry, such as different types of sensors, actuators, cylinders, arms, clamps... These models also allow the integration of HMI and SCADA screens.

Software Systems (5 ECTS)

HMI displays will be programmed and OPC technology will be studied. A SCADA will be created so that it can be connected to the FMS-200 model and managed from a Smartphone. Finally, some sessions of artificial vision applied to the industry will be taught.

Industrial Robotics (5 ECTS)

You will learn how to program classic industrial robots and collaborative robots, both by using simulators and working with real robots.

With the Automation and Industrial Robotics module, you can obtain the Diploma of Specialization in Automation. If taken individually, the Postgraduate Course ends with a thesis project (5 ECTS credits).
