Our Official Master’s Degree in Animation and Visual Effects is based on the original Learning by challenge methodology, which consists of learning through real-life cases presented by the animation sector.
The teaching faculty is made up of industry benchmark professionals and you will be able to take part in actual productions.
The End-of-Master’s project will be mentored by relevant directors from the sector whose experience you will be able to draw from.
You will go on internships at nationally and internationally renowned companies in the field of animation and visual effects.
You will also learn and improve your skills using the various tools and technologies that are used in professional studies such as:
- Substance Painter for textures
- Maya as the primary modelling and animation program
- Zbrush for organic modelling
- Nuke for compositing
- Davinci for colour correction
- Houdini for visual effects
- Arnold as a rendering engine
- Photoshop for concept art
The student will choose from the optional elective subjects for the two semesters, namely Company Internship I and II, Personal Project or Research Methodology.

The new normal requires a new way of teaching and learning, adapted to a constantly changing situation that demands flexible learning, without having a single format and method, but multiple options that adapt to all the new educational needs of students in an intelligent and technological way.
La Salle Campus Barcelona, a pioneer institution in the incorporation of technologies in education, has implemented Smart Learning since September 2020, a new educational model and technological system that adapts to on-site, blended, distance and online training formats, in all its multiple versions and possible combinations, according to the needs of the program and the students.
