The Lean method, which was created as part of Toyota’s Japanese production system (Toyota Production System TPS), has spread significantly over recent decades and across various production and management departments at such big-name companies as Toyota, Boeing, Amazon and Nike. It has also served as the starting point for several spin-off methodologies, the most popular of which are Lean Project Management and Agile Methods, mainly applied to software projects.
The Lean Project Management Course will give you a comprehensive view of Lean principles and tools, as well as teach you how they can be applied to Project Management. You will learn to shed outdated 20th century concepts, important given the way innovation and the sheer quantity of information we now deal with mean traditional projects have become far more complex.
With this goal in mind, the programme includes Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Critical Chain and Change Management methods, among other concepts, structured into sessions that are focused on a specific theme or methodology, using exercises, real-life case studies and simulations, all with the support of experts in the field.
By taking part in the Lean Project Management course, you will master techniques that you can put into practice during the course and apply as part of a project within your own organisation, as a complement to the training.
Upon successful completion of the on-site classes and coursework, you will receive the Lean Project Management professional certification issued by the world-renowned Lean Institute.

“The Lean Project Management course has without a doubt been one of the best academic experiences in my professional career. I’m from Costa Rica, and I’m interested in learning about how projects are managed in other parts of the world, in different industries, learning about the methodologies and tools used, human behaviour and new trends. La Salle University has brought together all these elements in their course, and it's well exceeded my expectations. Each topic is explained by experts in the field, who share valuable knowledge through practical case studies and group sessions, providing an excellent forum for discussion and learning”.
“A really interesting course; it allows you to closely explore Lean tools, as well as their practical application. The practical work and classes, with students encouraged to actually take part, not only make the course enjoyable, but also motivate you to dig deeper. All of this is led by professionals who are experts in their subject matter and who have great teaching skills”.
The course has really surpassed all my expectations. It’s based on a completely practical teaching model with lots of participation, the concepts you learn are built on simple but instructive management games, helping you to assimilate what you've learnt in a simple, immersive way. That was great for stimulating my interest and curiosity, which meant I actually read the recommended reading the tutor gave us.
“A highly recommended course, whether you're taking your first steps into the world of Lean or looking to build on your knowledge. With lecturers who actually work using the techniques they talk about”.
