Project funded by Televisió de
Catalunya entitled "Development of a high quality Catalan speech synthesis
system and its integration into Microsoft SAPI".
The project contained the design and implantation of a Catalan text-to-speech
converter system with recording, segmenting and labeling a voice data base and
the optimization of the synthesis method. The current phase consists of the
integration of this system to Microsoft SAPI (Speech API) for its use from
any Windows application.
Converting signs to voice for
deaf and dumb people. In this project Speech Technologies area collaborated
with Computer Vision area.
Research project entitled "Emotion speech
study by high quality speech synthesis", in collaboration with the Audiovisual
Communication Department of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
