Objectives

To offer formation for a new enterprise, with a new model of business, very emergent and innovating sector: the company multimedia that offers interactive products and services to all type of final clients. This company looks for technological, creative and innovating solutions to solve problems "of" always relative to the publicity, the culture, the leisure, the telemedicina, the marketing and so many other sectors of application.

The Master puts special emphasis on the management of interactive multimedia, considering all the disciplines which form it, such as Concept Research and Creation, Script, Analysis of Specific Publics, User Experience (Usability), Design and Creativity, Technologies Involved and Necessary Contents. Management is the common factor, allowing the practical application of the knowledge acquired to the development of a real and innovative project in the sector. The master includes an intensive stage of approximately two weeks in the United States.

 

Methodology

 

The Master in Creation, Design and Engineering has a lenghth of 50 credits, including the 2 week stage in the United States at the end of July.

A real application project is carried out all along the master, in a specific market sector and with special emphasis on the final client. This project brings together all the disciplines and assures a good methodological and practical knowledge of the contents presented in the classes and seminars, given by companies and experts in all the areas.

During the course, different control sessions are carried out, such as the quality, management and logistic assessment of the classes. Some sessions are assessed through the presentation of a personal or group assignment, to assess the knowledge acquired.

Reasons to Study

Students who finish the master satisfactorily will be trained to asume the creation of any interactive product or service, of any dimension and in any area.

The general knowledge of the pipeline multimedia (Creativity, Script, Usability, Design, Technology, Contents and Management) provides students with the necessary basis for the adequate creation and narration of the initial ideas, the adequate design for the final user, the implementation and architecture of the information involved and the best management mechanism.

Participants who pass all the subjects in the master will receive the Diploma for the Master in Creation, Design and Engineering: New Interactive Products and Services given by La Salle.

Methodology

El MCDEM se sustenta sobre la filosofía de la “Experiential Multimedia” y del “Learning by Doing”. Realización de proyectos reales para empresas colaboradoras y sectores finales específicos. Los proyectos tienen principio y fin y se realizan teniendo en cuenta las peculiaridades del “pipeline” Multimedia, así como las del ciclo de vida de este tipo de producto o servicio. Siempre hay un entregable real y adaptado a las necesidades de un mercado específico. Lo avalan muchas de las empresas con las que colaboramos cada año como Telefónica, HP, Roland, Infojobs, Digital Legends, Mobivery o Hospital San Juan de Dios, entre tantas otras.

Éstos son nuestros factores diferenciales, las claves para que sí se aprenda y sí se esté plenamente adaptado a las necesidades TIC en nuestro sector:

  • Aprendizaje Interactivo: nuestra metodología de aprendizaje se sustenta sobre la teoría de placeres de LeBlanc. Una buena historia que contar y que creer, una carrera de obstáculos que nos motive adecuadamente, una red social en la que compartir y cooperar así como la exploración de un territorio desconocido. Todo ello puede entenderse como una colección de experiencias placenteras que garantizan el aprendizaje y la motivación adecuados.
  • Cross-discipline: grupos de trabajo multidisciplinares desde el primer día. Cada grupo recrea una pequeña empresa Multimedia con asignación de roles (programmer, producer, artist, game designer, developer, usability technician, documentalist…).
  • Los Serious Games como catalizadores del conocimiento y su puesta en práctica, además de conectores con la realidad que nos ocupa, absolutamente distinta a la de 5 años atrás.
  • Aprendizaje basado en el descubrimiento, en la experiencia real y el proyecto.
  • Un espacio modular y flexible único, inspirador y creativo, agradable y fresco, como nuestra Media Dome. Éste recibe a los alumnos/as con los brazos abiertos día tras día y les permite esbozar una sonrisa desde que cruzan la puerta.
  • La motivación es la primera prioridad para todos los profesores y tutores. Los estudiantes viven desarrollos basados en prototipados ágiles de proyectos que ellos seleccionan. Además opinan sobre el rol que quieren asumir dentro del proyecto.
  • Parámetros reales de desarrollo. Compañías “de verdad” con las que trabajar. Proyectos enfocados y cien por cien implementados.
  • Aprendizaje del Ciclo de Vida de un Producto Multimedia desde su conceptualización a su implementación, pasando por la especificación y el diseño, y teniendo en cuenta el contenido, la plataforma, los “media” involucrados y la interfaz. Además de la realización del prototipo para la empresa real, se aplican estrategias de comunicación vía “Social Media” y “assets” reales y virtuales como cuartilla, poster, web y video viral.
  • Enseñamos herramientas de Gestión Ágil a todos nuestros alumnos/as. Tal y como nos piden las grandes empresas.
  • Metodología compartida con el Entertainment Technology Center de Carnegie Mellon University  un centro único en cuanto a metodología y “networking”, ubicado en una de las mejores universidades de Estados Unidos (entre las 10 primeras en un país que cuenta con más de 500).
