Our teachers, academics and professionals of great prestige, combine teaching with their professional practice, contributing with their experience in emblematic projects at international level. The faculty (architects, engineers, technicians, economists, lawyers, etc.) offer a multidisciplinary approach and a higher level to our training.

The adjustment of the academic programme to the real needs of the market, opening a wide range of professional options of Building Engineers to all the agents of the construction process. All subjects give a central importance to technology as a tool, rigor, professionalism, ethics and honesty, all of which are essential for the improvement of a field demanding new ways of working in order to reach excellence. Some subjects are taught in English, so that by the end of the degree you have a good enough level to work all over Europe.

New Technologies: La Salle Architecture School was created from the Engineering School, with a history of more than 100 years, and in contact with many technological businesses. An architect needs to know the expert systems of knowledge, analysis, information and management, the technological tools for design and architectonical calculus, etc. For this reason, Architecture studies incorporate technology and innovation in order to adapt to the society’s needs and include technology as a differential trait in their constructions.

You will be able to participate in the OIKODOMOS project, a pedagogical research project financed by the European Union Life Long Learning Programme and coordinated by the ARC La Salle Engineering and Architecture group and in which architecture and urbanism schools and research centers from Belgium, Cyprus, France, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, and United Kingdom participate. The project’s objective is the creation of a virtual campus aimed at studying the means of living and housing in the contemporary Europe.

Common subjects with Architecture. At La Salle, the students of Architecture and Sciences and Technologies of Building Engineering study together the first year and keep working equally in the theoretical and practical subjects along all their studies. This way, both degrees work, in theoretical and practical classes, just like they will have to do in their professional practice.

For the encouragement of team work. A joint training of Architects and Building Engineers, from the beginning to the end of the degree, as preparation for their future professional collaboration.

The relation with the business world. The constant connection between the University and the business world provides us with feedback on the quality and acquisition of necessary knowledge and skills, in order to adapt the study plan to the real needs of the construction world. This connection enables the organization of internships during the last two years of the degree, in Architecture offices, property developer offices, construction companies, public administrations, etc., where you will be able to experience the professional reality, helping in your placement in the professional world.

La Salle and FAD (association whose objective is to promote the design and the architecture in a cultural, economic and social level) have worked together in the development of the project MATER, through which projects will be developed to offer training, consulting, technological vigilance and promotion of the innovation in materials, and that will be available for La Salle’s students.
