Debate on the future of television with audiovisual experts
After the last session with Mr. Ginés Alarcón (Director General of the Mobile World Capital Barcelona - MWCB), the 23rd of May at the Mobile World Center (C/ Fontanella 2, Barcelona) will try to clarify what may be the evolution of the audiovisual industry.
The event will be held in roundtable format moderated by Mr. Ismael Sancha, Accenture. The panel of experts will consist of representatives of the television and telephone operators, production and distribution groups and audiovisual industry experts.

Joan Majó is a Spanish businessman and politician, doctor in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. He was the Minister of Industry and Energy during the II Legislature of Spain and Member of Parliament for the province of Barcelona

Workshop on framework of the CENIT Social Media project
On Tuesday October 30 a workshop session was held at La Salle Barcelona Campus within the CENIT Social Media. The meeting was attended by representatives of the project consortium and experts in information technology, CRM and Social Media. The meeting was coordinated by Indra and La Salle Innova Institute.

Researchers from Innova Institute obtained a grant to finalize their studies in European Universities
The last weeks of May 2011, two researchers in training from the Innova Institute (Rosa Rudó y Ferran Gionès) are making an international stay to complete their training. Both of them enjoy a mobility grant for research activities in European Universities that they obtained in a competitive call from the Ministry of Education. Rosa Rudó will make her stay in the research center ERCIS at the University of Munster working with the group of interorganitzacionals systems under the direction of Prof. Stefan Klein. Ferran Gionès will work with researchers from CETIM on issues related to entrepreneurship and innovation. We wish them both the best success in their research stay.
Prof. Stefan Klein visited La Salle
From May the 30th until June the 1rst, Prof. Stefan Klein visited us. La Salle had received a grant from the Ministry of Education to invite Prof. Stefan Klein to teach in the MITMA Master. He taught three sessions in the Technological Innovation & Entrepreneurship course.
31/05/2011 – Prof. Stefan Klein had a research session with BES La Salle
Prof. Stefan Klein is Director of the Interorganisational Systems Group in ERCIS and Associate Dean for International Affairs at the University of Münster (Germany). Last Tuesday the 31st of May Prof. Stefan Klein presented a research session with BES’ faculty. Prof. Stefan Klein explained the recent paper he has published "Twenty years of electronic markets research—looking backwards towards the future".
Prof. Bernhard Katzy visited La Salle for two weeks
After the Easter period, Prof. Bernhard Katzy visited us for two weeks. La Salle had received a grant from the Ministry of Education to invite Prof. Benhard Katzy to teach in the MITMA Master. He taught three sessions in the Technological Innovation & Entrepreneurship course and three more sessions in the Managing R&D Projects course.
03/05/2011 – Prof. Bernhard Katzy had a research session with BES La Salle
Last Tuesday the 3rd of May Prof. Bernhard Katzy presented a research session with BES’ faculty. Prof. Bernhard Katzy explained the research lines that he and his group are involved in and offered the opportunity to discuss their work. Under the umbrella of CETIM, Prof. Bernhard Katzy is leading two research groups, one of them in Munich and the other one in Leiden. He is also the project champion of NITIM
Date to be confirmed - Participation of the Innova Institute in the conference of "Els Directors de SSII (CIOs) davant els reptes del nou món del treball" (Microsoft Innovation Center)
The Innova Institute will attend the Jornada CIOs of Microsoft Innovation Center, with the participation of Dr. Francesc Miralles, who will define the strategic IT alignment in the new world. The event also will feature Mr. Albert Esplugas, General Director of MIC Productivity, with an explanation of the new world and the related business challenges; and Mr. Ricard Piñol, Avanade Solutions Director, who will detail the economic impact of the unified platform for communication and collaboration in business environments.

Last Wednesday April 6, Dr. Francesc Miralles, director of the Innova Institute attended the Fifth Congress of Catalonia that presents the Best Practices in Governance and Management of IT Services under the theme of "Together Towards Excellence". The conference had the participation of Ramses Gallego (ISACA ) with "La tormenta perfecta: riesgos y amenazas en la nube"; Antonio Valle (G2 y Campeón ITSM 2010) with "Modelos de Costes, caso práctico de aplicación"; and Pedro Pablo López Bernal (RSI) and Lola Heras García (Auren) with "Gobierno TIC y la ISO38500: Caso práctico de la primera certificación".
