By using a fun technological activity, we pretend to introduce an Engineer as a person who has the capacity to solve different kinds of problems.

PROCEDURE

 

Understanding: create a capable group

  1. Problem description
  2. Activity explanation
  3. Group making
  4. Leader election (he or she is intended to guide the group’s activity, supervisor roll)

 

Electronic: Vehicle assembly

  1. Basic electronic knowledge outline
  2. Binary Code explanation 
  3. Electronic knowledge application in the vehicle assembly
  4. Binary Code application to prove the correct functioning of the device

 

Programming: Vehicle Programming

  1. Brief introduction to programming language
  2. Introduction to the software’s development stages
  3. Exposition of the platform’s planning sentences
  4. Device's programming and simulation

 

Challenge: Race with your vehicle

  1. Simulations:  using the programming tools it is possible to illustrate the vehicle’s theoretical functioning 
  2. Empiric proves: reality and fiction have never been so far away. At this point, the divergence between the empiric and the theoretical is evident. It will be necessary adjust the vehicle’s programming to reach the challenge
  3. Product’s launching, explain why yours is better than the others
