Francesc Teixidó |
On June 22, Álvaro García and Francesc Teixidó presented their respective research developed during the two last years to obtain the Advanced Study Certificate, which certificates their research capability. Álvaro presented a work focused on organizing the knowledge of a case-based reasoning systems by using an approach based on an evolutionary multi-objective clustering algorithm. On the other hand, Francesc presented a hierarchical regression method that employs evolutionary computation to evolve a population interval-based rules that contain a regressor in the consequent of the rule.
The examining committee, presided by the associate dean in research of the Ramon Llull University, gave the maximum grade to both works. They specially highlighted the quality of the report, the number of publications associated to the work and the good presentation. The examining committee encouraged them and their advisors to continue on the hard way towards their thesis completion. Congratulations Álvaro and Francesc, you are almost there! |
